Fort Saskatchewan, AB – On Friday, November 27, 2015 the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Detachment, General Investigation Section concluded two drug trafficking investigations that lead to the seizure of drugs and the arrest of 2 local individuals who have been charged with numerous drug related charges.
Fort Saskatchewan, AB – On Friday, November 27, 2015 the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Detachment, General Investigation Section concluded two drug trafficking investigations that lead to the seizure of drugs and the arrest of 2 local individuals who have been charged with numerous drug related charges.
Utah Johanson-Farion, age 19, of Fort Saskatchewan was arrested and has presently been charged with Trafficking A Controlled Substance (cocaine) and Possession Of A Controlled Substance For The Purpose Of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Johanson-Farion has also been charged with Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Detachment, General Investigation Section also executed a Search Warrant on Johanson-Farion’s residence and seized drugs.
In a separate drug investigation the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Detachment, General Investigation Section, arrested Cody Doucette, age 19, of Fort Saskatchewan who has presently been charged with Trafficking A Controlled Substance (Cocaine) and 2 counts of Possession Of A Controlled Substance For The Purpose Of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Doucette has also been charged with Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime and Failing To Comply With Conditions contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Johanson-Farion was remanded into custody and Doucette was release from custody with conditions. Both Johanson-Farion and Doucette and are scheduled to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on December 17th, 2015.
The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP want to remind the residents of Fort Saskatchewan and Lamont County that the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP, through strict enforcement, continued investigations and tips received from the public, will remain dedicated to the prevention of drug activity and the apprehension of those failing to comply with the Criminal Code of Canada.
The RCMP note that tips received from the general public have been very helpful in their ongoing investigations and have contributed greatly to recent successes. As such, they would like to encourage members of the general public to continue to report activity that they deem to be suspicious or of concern. The general public is asked to contact the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP at 780-992-6100 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or at www.crimestoppers.ca . If the information provided at Crime Stoppers is used to assist in an arrest or recovery of property, you may be eligible for a cash ($) reward of up to $2,000.
