Morinville RCMP would like to remind the public that the month of April is Aggressive Drivers Month. The RCMP would like the public to be mindful of the risks involved with aggressive driving.
These are some of the sections of the Traffic Safety Act (TSA) that the Morinville RCMP, would like the public to be mindful of. The consequences for violating these sections of the TSA are listed below:
Section 115(1) of the Traffic Safety Act states, a driver of a vehicle is driving carelessly if that driver drives a vehicle (a) without due care and attention, or (b) without reasonable consideration for persons using the highway.
Section 115(2) of the Traffic Safety Act states, Total Fine ($)
(b) Drive a vehicle on a highway in a manner $543
that constitutes driving carelessly;
that constitutes driving carelessly;
(d) Drive a vehicle on a highway on a bet or wager; $543
(e) Perform or engage in any stunt or other activity that is likely $543
to distract, startle or interfere with users of the highway;

(f) Drive a vehicle so as to perform or engage in any stunt or $543
other activity on a highway that is likely to distract, startle
or interfere with other users of the highway;

Driving on Alberta highways is a privilege. Be responsible and know the risks involved with speeding and aggressive driving, as accidents can be detrimental. If you see any suspicious activity or any careless driving, please don’t hesitate to call the Morinville RCMP at (780)-939-4520.
