On Friday, August 18th 2017 at about 9:30am, a resident at the Green Acres subdivision at 54513 Range Road 251 was alerted by her barking dogs to the presence of a truck driving onto the property. The resident approached the driver, described only as a dark coloured female with a male passenger. The female apologized for driving into the wrong residence before slowly driving away.
As soon as the truck left, the resident discovered one of her dogs missing from the yard. The dog had been wearing a shock collar and would not have otherwise left the property on its own.
The truck is described as a dishevelled mid-2000's white Dodge Ram, with several construction-like items in the truck bed. No license plate was obtained.
The dog goes by the name "Dozzer", and is a 5yr old male Rottweiler/American Bulldog cross, black & tan in colour, about 65lbs with short legs and primarily Rottweiler features. "Dozzer" was last seen wearing a Petsafe brand black shock collar, and a black dog collar & tag with "Dozzer" and a contact number engraved on it.
Morinville RCMP would like to speak to the driver of the white truck, locate the dog, or obtain any further information about this or any other incidents involving similar circumstances.
Morinville RCMP can be reached at 780-939-4520.
