Morinville RCMP Requesting Public Assistance in Identifying Suspects in Break and Enter at Jurassic Forest Theme Park
Morinville, Alberta - On February 2, 2018 at approximately 5:24 a.m. Morinville RCMP responded to a report of a break, enter and theft from Jurassic Forest Theme Park near Gibbons, Alberta. Police attended and found the large gate at the entrance to the park had been compromised and entered. Once inside the business suspects stole numerous items including a number of electronics including computer towers, and gift shop merchandise including large glass figurines of dinosaurs and dinosaur skull replicas.
Video surveillance shows a U-haul cube van enter the property with three males entering the business.
Male number 1: wore black pants, a black winter Canada Goose parka, a grey hoody with the hood up. This male wore white and black gloves.
Male number 2: wore blue jeans, grey sweater or jacket under a black jacket with white and grey stripe. Male wore a grey hood up and black and yellow gloves. This male has a mustache and goatee and was carrying a crowbar.
Male number 3: wore blue jeans, a black bomber style winter jacket, black gloves and a black balaclava.
Morinville RCMP are requesting the public's assistance with these incidents. Photo's of the suspect vehicle and suspects are attached.
Property crimes are a priority for the Alberta RCMP and there is a strategic focus on property crime offenders. Business owners and home owners are encouraged to have good quality surveillance systems, and good lighting around their property. As well owners are encouraged to maintain good relations with their neighbours to look out for each others property and to report suspicious activity to the police.

Morinvillle RCMP Investigate Break and Enter at Liquor Store
Morinville, Alberta – Morinville RCMP are investigating a brazen break and enter that occurred on February 17, 2018 at about 04:40 am at the Great Canadian Liquor Store in Morinville. RCMP attended to the location and found that the suspects had smashed out the front windows and pulled off the security bars with the use of a vehicle. Entry was made and a large quantity of liquor was stolen.
Surveillance video was obtained and three unidentified suspects were seen in a light (silver or white) coloured Dodge mini van with a missing back passenger side hub cab.
About 40 minutes prior to the break and enter RCMP have identified the three suspects on surveillance video outside of business on 98th street and 98th avenue in the Morinville industrial area going through equipment.
Suspect #1: Male, thin build, wearing a white coveralls (Tyvek suit), white mask, black hood, dark ball cap with white insignia, and black and white gloves.
Suspect #2: Male, blue coveralls with yellow and grey reflective marking, light coloured ball cap (may have sunglasses resting on brim), and yellow gloves. The male appears to have a black balaclava covering his face.
Suspect #3: Male, dark blue coveralls with a hood, skeleton mask, possibly wearing a vest or backpack over top.
The relationship between the RCMP and the members of our communities is a partnership. We need residents to be the eyes and ears of their communities and to report suspicious activity as soon as they are aware.

Morinville RCMP Seek Identity of Two Persons in Attempted Frauds
Morinville, Alberta – Morinville RCMP are investigating two attempted frauds at the Husky and Shell gas stations in the Town of Morinville that occurred on the evening of February 13, 2018. A male and female entered the Shell and Husky gas station convenience stores and attempted to purchase a large number of lotto tickets and gift cards.
The male and female made a number of unsuccessful attempts with credit cards at each store to purchase lotto tickets, and gift cards.
The male and female were seen leaving the Shell gas station in a white mini van. No license plate was obtained.
Morinville RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two individuals.
Male Suspect: Caucasian male, brown styled hair, heavier build, wearing a black winter jacket with distinct white accents.
Female Suspect: Caucasian female, brown hair styled in a braid, heavier build, wearing blue jeans, black winter jacket with fur trim and carrying a light blue coloured purse.
Crime reduction is a priority for the Alberta RCMP. Targeting repeat offenders and crime trends will reward.

Athabasca RCMP arrest male with firearm after theft of ATV
Calling Lake, Alberta – On Feb. 12, 2018 at approximately 4:20 p.m., Athabasca RCMP located a male riding a stolen ATV from a previous break and enter that was reported in Calling Lake.
The driver attempted to flee on the ATV but got stuck in a snowbank. Police identified the driver as he fled into a field carrying what looked to be a firearm.
Members along with the Emergency Response Team - Edmonton (ERT) and Police Dog Services (PDS) assisted in the search for the male who was not immediately located. He was taken into police custody the next day without incident. Police seized a loaded .22 calibre rifle.
Joel Houle-Auger, a 27-year-old from Calling Lake:
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Pointing a firearm
· Resist Arrest
· Flight from police
· Possess weapon while unauthorized (x2)
· Break and enter (x3)
· Mischief (x4)
· Possession of Stolen property under $5000 (x5)
He was remanded into custody after a hearing and will be appearing in Edson Provincial Court on Feb. 20, 2018 via CCTV.
As this matter is now before the courts no further information is available.

Morinville RCMP Investigate Theft of Gas
Morinville, Alberta – On February 9, 2018 Morinville RCMP responded to a complaint of a theft of gasoline from a residence in Cardiff that occurred February 8, 2018 between 7AM and 7:30AM. Surveillance video shows a male suspect coming up to a residence and taking a jerry can of gas. A possible suspect vehicle was also seen on surveillance video. This was the second reported incident of theft of gas from the same residence within a week.
The suspect is described as:
· Male;
· Thin build;
· Wearing dark jacket and pants;
· Red hoodie pulled up over his head; and
· Dark brimmed ball cap.
The vehicle is described as:
· Dark green or black;
· Early 2000s Ford;
The previous incident of theft occurred on February 1, 2018. In that incident, two suspects stole 4 jerry cans diesel of fuel from the back of truck parked at a residence in Cardiff. Surveillance video was obtained.
The two suspects are described as:
· Male;
· Wearing lighter coloured clothing
The vehicle is described as:
· dark colour
· quad cab
· possibly Chevrolet model
· aftermarket rims
The Alberta RCMP Crime Reduction Strategy is a targeted, evidence based approach to policing. This model enables police to identify repeat offenders, conduct targeted enforcement initiatives and to address the root cause of a crime

Family Day, February 19th in Morinville
Good Morning Everyone, February 13, 2018
So with this Post we SRCWA are doing something to change it up on our website to allow our members know about our Events or Events coming up, our meetings, which will give our members to come out and have the opportunity to volunteer at some of the Events, like the Candy Cane Check, Parades these are some of the activities we are involved in, so watch out the different boards as l feel will be a great part on recieving more news, information and we will continue our posts to inform you as always from the RCMP
So now l would like to see more of YOU, to hear from you more as this will be a spot were you can share your ideas, comments, concerns and if you are able to join us at some of the events, l felt it was very important to be more engaged with our members and hope that with our members spread the news to your neighbours, so that being said, l am looking for 3 volunteers to help me on Family Day in Morinville, please let me know if you can help out, If this is not for you l get it and l understand too. Plus if you are driving around the county we are asking that you take picture with the area you were, we would use these pictures to post on our website and use as our back splash too. You need to send your pictures to the website and there we will post, thank you.
Also Wednesday February 28th Bon Accord will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting at Lillian Schick School at 7pm in the gym, l hope to see you all there to share your questions, concerns, we should have a great turnout. We need to show that we can be more of a deterrent towards the crime that have been going on and still active, so l hope that l can help in anyway, as most who know me and know how passionate l am to work hard on trying to have crime become less in our communities and beyond the county, but with your help too.
So Please let me know if you can or cannot attend or volunteer for the Family Day Event, l'd really appreicate on hearing back on your response.
